so yes we actually stopped at a thrift store on Mother's Day, the Goodwill was open.  I spent 6.00 I got a wooden ummm bowl, or trough like thing....I need to sand on it and oil it a bit. No markings of any type on it...it was only 1.00 and I loved it. I got two glass plates one is cut crystal and one is shaped like a flower, those have being glued to a glass candlestick in their future..ROFL

No Sunday night service, the weather was forecasted to be bad, starting in the afternoon. So the board decided better safe than sorry. Today I had to make some cakes for our ladies bakesale, so I decided I would make four cakes, and then to help it not be an all day affair of baking, and heating up the apartment, I decided I would make 2 recipes and 2 cakes each, and bake them together.  So I pulled out my supplies and worked assembly line style, flouring both pans at one time, then mixing them up and baking them...Doing this

I have been really busy with lots of church things, but here are some ideas that I have been doing.  We have had to serve several meals at our church for different things, funerals and a dinner.  So while I cooked for those dinners, I would cook a dinner extra to eat here.  That way I didnt have to cook two or three times a day.  It helped save time and it saved a run for fast food, because often

Today's tip is a bit different.  When we bought our house 4 years ago, we quickly discovered that our cabinet tops were just contact paper over very very worn out formica.  Just not having the money to replace them at the time we have used two things that have been fairly quick fixes.  First we used peel and stick floor tiles, it took less than a full box of them (10.00 at the dollar store here)
