Some great coupon deals...

Right now there are some coupons out there that makes for great savings on razors. On Daisy (Simply Venus) women's razors there is a buy one get one free and a 3.00 off coupon also. And for men's razors there is a B1G1free for Gillette and also a 3.00 off. And since your getting two of them you can use both coupons at most stores.
Today at Dollar General they had the Simply Venus on sale for 5.60, so I got one free and then 3.00 off the 5.60 so two packages of good razors for 1.30 a package
and the Men's Gillette Mach 3 was 5.85 and got one free then 3.00 off the one I paid for so two packs for 1.43. A great deal for stocking up or donating...

Another great awesome thing is that Dollar Tree is now accepting manufacturer's coupons.  They have pretty stringent rules, and be patient while the cashiers are learning the new process, but some great deals are out there.  Stock up or donate!! Great prices!

Some tips...

Use the resources you have, the internet has matchups for coupons and sales in your area.

Most grocery stores have online weekly ads, in case you do not get a paper

If you are not finding many coupons there are coupon clipping sites just google coupon clipping

Learn how to fix things that are easy fixes, my rubber gasket pulled loose on my washing machine, it was a frustrating fix and took two of us to get the wire that held it in place back on, but we did it and it saved us a service call for our machine.

Use what you have, my husband needed a new sign for his shop, we used my new cricut (my birthday present) to cut the letters out of vinyl for the sign.

One of the biggest savings we have seen at our home lately is in groceries, you may ask how with the prices going up, we have started counting calories, and the smaller portions mean less meat used, so it goes farther, and meat is the most expensive part of our grocery bill. (ohh and for those wondering, I have lost 18 pounds since June 28th and dh has lost 28 pounds) share some of your tips to make your life easier and your bucks go further!!

Planning, helps to save money...

Our CPA called (and yes we pay someone to do our taxes, with my husband being a pastor it is worth what we pay, for peace of mind)and we are getting a refund, a nice one. So we have sat down and planned what we would like to do with this, INCLUDING what we would like to save. We have some things that we need to replace, and some things that we have wanted and needed (and yes frugal people can spend on frivolous items) My point about this post is the planning, if we dont do this stage that money just trickles away and we are left with nothing to show. Plan your spending even on a weekly level is a smart and frugal thing to do. Sooo are you wondering what we are doing with our money..ROFL..we are so exciting, a new dryer, a new freezer, a tool box for my hubbys truck, charitable giving, paying a truck payment ahead and also some other bills ahead and then savings...I am sure there will be some "frivolous spending" too. But with a plan in place, it will reign that in. We also are planning how to use the tax rebate supposedly coming in the spring/summer, most of it being going into the savings account also.
Speaking of savings, I have (and I should have done this at the beginning of the year) decided to transfer any savings from coupons to a savings account to use for Christmas shopping. So I will transfer 7.09 to my savings this week.

Frugal can get tedious, and make us tired, but if we allow ourselves small pleasures with our planning we will be able to stay the course..
