Find out if your thrift store, has special discounts on certain days, for instance, one of my favorite stores had half price Wednesdays.  They also offer half price for senior citizens on Monday's

Also the Goodwill stores have tag sales where certain color tags are on special.
So that is extra savings, and your dollar stretches further!!
