trying something to stay cool and keep electric cost down..

our house doesnt have central air and heat and we have window units, 2 110 units and one 220 unit. So instead of running the 220 we have been keeping our little ones going with fans drawing the cool air into the main living area. Our bill jumped over 100.00 last month..so we will see if this helps. Of course it hasnt been as hot as it was in June (the month the bill jumped) We keep all of the shades closed and the lights off, to keep from generating heat. I am very interested in seeing how this will affect the bill.
