Kitchen Tip Tuesday

Continuing on with the thought from yesterday about eating nice and cold food during the summer.  I thought I would share some cold food ideas.  Tabouli salad, spaghetti salad, pasta salad.    I love tabouli salad, first of all I chop fresh veggies, tomatoes, onions, cucumbers, add olives, and combine with tabouli (or bulgar wheat) then add a half cup of oil and a half cup of lemon juice, salt and pepper and other seasonings and then let chill over night (8 hours minimum) before eating.  LOVELY cold salad.  Cold spaghetti salad combine cooked spaghetti noodles with chopped fresh veggies, tomatoes, onions, cucumbers, olives, black and green, (mushrooms do not work well in either of these salads) and then you dress the salad with italian dressing and salad supreme seasoning, Chill 8 hours before eating. Cold pasta salad I like to combine any type of pasta (even ramen) with imitation crab, tuna, cheese cubes, onions, tomatoes, cucumbers, bacon and then dress with mayonaise.  Chill and serve cold with crackers.
Just some cold food ideas for Kitchen Tip Tuesday
